Rio de Janeiro. A policeman is forced to intervene in an ongoing robbery at an upper-middle-class home in Laranjeiras. Days later the policeman, suspended, seeks to continue his life with his daughter and friends. Five years later, a woman returns to the house with her two children and her new husband, with the aim of selling it. A few weeks before the robbery, a delivery boy meets the love of his life.
