Inspired by real-life stories, we delve into the lives of Vera, Madalena, Conceição, and Gabriela, all survivors of domestic violence taking refuge in a Shelter House. Together, they rediscover their sense of self while working towards gaining the independence and security needed to start life anew.

Each episode is dedicated to one of the women, as well as to Joana, the psychologist who supports them. This series offers a personal glimpse and a unique testimony of these women, who are not defined solely by the harrowing circumstances they find themselves in, even though they can never forget them.
