Diogo S. Figueira co-wrote the short film By Flávio, premiered at the 2022 Berlin Film Festival and was one of the screenwriters of the RTP1 series Três Mulheres (whose first season was nominated for the PRIX Europa, the Sophia Awards and the SPA Authors Award) and the documentary O Labirinto da Saudade (winner of the Sophia Award for Best Documentary).

In 2020, he was selected for the Canneseries Institute, the artistic residency of the Canneseries festival. Since 2021, he premiered two plays and co-wrote the TV adaptation of Miguel Sousa Tavares' novel Madrugada Suja, which will premiere in 2023.

Among other projects in development, he wrote Entroncamento, a dramatic feature film produced by OPTEC, directed by Pedro Cabeleira, to be shot in late 2022.

Sagrada Família marks Diogo's directorial debut.
