An adaptation of Miguel Torga's iconic short stories, "Tales from the Mountain" is an intimate look at a rural community in the 1940s. Each chapter has its own protagonist, whose existence is untouched by modernity or the outside world. Five portraits of humble lives with enormous resistance to suffering - and a capacity for violence that, at times, proves impossible to repress.

Luís Galvão Teles
Luís Galvão Teles has dedicated 50 years of his life to cinema, having played various roles: director, screenwriter, producer and distributor. As a director, he has made more than 15 films.
In the year of the revolution, he was one of the founding partners of CINEQUANON, a cooperative from which emerged his film A Confederação - O Povo É Que Faz a História (1978).
In 1997, he founded FADO FILMES, one of the most prominent producing companies in the last 25 years.
In 2023, Luís Galvão Teles is preparing the fiction film Grape Harvest and a documentary on the filmmaker Ayres d'Aguiar.
